Shake (Paw)

Step 1: Have your dog to Sit in front of you on leash.

Step 2: Use your hand and try to touch the back of your dog's right paw.
Your dog should lift up his right paw.

Step 3: The moment your dog lifts up his right paw from the ground, CLICK or say "SHAKE" and give your dog a treat.

Step 4: Practice a few times. If you used the clicker, added in the Voice Cue. Remember to ask for your dog's same paw each time.

Step 5: Put your palm in front of your dog and ask him to Shake. You can try to move your palm towards your dog's paw as he lifts his paw off the ground. The moment your dog's paw touched your palm, CLICK or say SHAKE and give your dog lots of praises and treats.

Step 6: Practice and Practice.

SHAKE:
to have your dog's paw touch your hand while he is in a sitting position.

The Hand Signal for Shake:
You extending your palm (palm facing up) out and placing it in front of you dog.
